Are file uploads scanned when uploaded through File Upload fields?Asked by Marty Knapp on November 14, 2014 at 04:11 PM
I've made a form that utilizes your feature to allow a user to upload files (restricted to PDF & JPG). Do uploaded files get scanned or otherwise checked? I'm concerned, of course, about malicious content.
Thanks for any input,
As far as I know, our system doesn't scan a file that is uploaded through our File Upload fields. But our system always take measures when it comes to this. For example, our file upload field doesn't allow uploads for .exe or executable files.
What I would suggest is to always make sure that your Anti-Virus is running. Also, viruses are always added to executable and zipped files, I don't know of a virus through PDF and JPG files.
