    E-mail after filled in form

Asked by Paul  on November 17, 2014 at 09:36 AM

Hello, when someone fills in my form I would like to receive it at my email.  I looked at the options, what does it mean when you have to put senders details in?  can you just put own email so it goes there?

    Many thanks,  Paul.

    Hi Paul,

Yes, you have to put your own email address to the "Recipient E-Mail" email settings:

Also, don't forget to put/select the Sender Name and Email. You can also assign Reply-To email if you want to reply to the actual sender right into your email account.

    Thank you!

Hi thanks for reply.  With the senders email is this not who would be filling in form so I would not know who this is?  Is there a function so when they fill in form the answers are redirected to my email?  Thanks.

Because I would just be getting people filling in forms who stop by my website but will not know who they are until I get email with their details.

    Thanks.

    Hi Paul,

With the senders email is this not who would be filling in form so I would not know who this is?

By default, the Sender Email would be noreply@jotform.com. This means, Jotform is sending the form emails. If you want to send the form notification email using the email address that is filled to your form's email field, you can do that but only by adding Mandrill's SMTP to your form. Please follow this guide:

    https://www.jotform.com/help/240-Set-Email-Field-as-the-Notification-Sender-Email-Address-with-Mandrill

Is there a function so when they fill in form the answers are redirected to my email?

-You just need to add your email address in the Recipient E-Mail section. See my screenshot, put your email address in the encircled option.

Form Submissions/Answers will be sent to the email address that is set in the Recipient Email section.

Because I would just be getting people filling in forms who stop by my website but will not know who they are until I get email with their details.

-You will just need to complete the form notification email configuration. After that, you will receive the information that was submitted to your form through email.

    Thank you!
