Conditions not working properly in showing fields in my Web Form design entry?

Hi! this is regarding with my web form design entry, I notice some issue upon loading the page, sometime the hidden function is not working. There are times all the field / content that suppose to be trigger by a radio button is already shown and need several refresh to correct them. Particularly with "Yes. Include Hosting on the Quotation"  radio option on the first tab. Once it was tick, that's the time the "Select Hosting" should appear and another hidden div will appear upon selecting the options. But the issue I notice is, they are already appeared the first time the page is load. And it may cause a confusion to the visitor or specially to the judges. I know its kind a late but I already escalate this issue before I submit my entry but I haven't receive any response from your team. i attached the screenshot.

If we have no solution yet can I add some note just below my logo this notice, "Some field has to be hidden, please refresh the page several times before you begin".

    Thank you!

hoping for your response and have a nice day!

    Hi,

I've cloned your form for testing purposes. Upon checking it, I see that you have a couple of conditions that uses "Hide", I would suggest that rather hiding them based on rule, you can just use "Show", this means when the page loads the initial action is to show the fields if the condition is met rather than hide them.

I'm not sure if I understood your condition correctly but I rewrite the ones that I have in my cloned form.

You can check the sample form here: http://form.jotformpro.com/form/43237454834963?

    1. Changes in the Conditions that I made:

Conditions not working properly in showing fields in my Web Form design entry? Image 1 Screenshot 20

Basically, my condition just states that if this rule has been met, "Show" this field/s.

If the cloned form that I have works as you expected, you can clone it using this guide we have: http://www.jotform.com/help/42-How-to-Clone-an-Existing-Form-from-a-URL

I hope this helps or at least gives you an idea on how to proceed. Let us know if you need further assistance on this.

    Thank you.

yes I guess you're correct. Can I change the condition? or am I still allowed to change it? because my fear is i might disqualify or something :)

    Hi,

It's alright to make changes and enhancement on the forms before the deadline. But I believe it would be more advisable to just re-submit the form entry, just to make sure that they can see that you have made some improvements. I would also advise to check and finalize the form entry before you re-submit.

Thank you for participating in the competition and Good luck! :)

Thanks! I like the idea of re-submitting the forms but will it affect the votes? because Im campaigning it right now and already gathered some votes. If I re-submit the form will I retain the votes?

    Hello tambayanspot,

Please be noted that editing form conditions will not have any impact on your submission data. If you delete any of your form fields then only the associated submission data will be deleted.

When you say re-submit, do you mean to say submission edit? If you edit your submission, the new data will be saved. New submission will anyway not have any impact in your existing submissions.

    Hope this answers your query.

Do get back to us if you have any questions.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

Regarding the votes, I think it shouldn't be of a problem if the Form URL is the same one you have used or submitted originally. But I do recommend that you still campaign for the final form entry, because if the the first form has problems in the conditions, that would mean it has some flaw in the design.

    Best Regards.

Thanks @ashwin_d and thanks a lot @Charlie I already corrected the conditions. I already apply the change on my entry form.

When you say resubmit, are you referring to, refill-up this http://www.jotformpro.com/aytekin/form-design-awards right? and every time I do modification in my form layout etc I will resubmit my form by filling-up that link again?

But I do understand that the URL must not change or else It will be treated as new submission and the votes will not be transfer.

I have to apology for having so many question I just wanted to make sure because I am thinking just saving the changes is enough.

    Hi,

But I do understand that the URL must not change or else It will be treated as new submission and the votes will not be transfer.

    This is correct.

You can modify/update your jotform entry in the competition and it will automatically update the submitted jotform entry since it will be link to the same URL (form URL).

If you submit new entry/jotform that have a different URL, then it must be a new entry/jotform which I believe you are also allowed to do so (submit multiple entry in the competition that is)

Hope this clarifies the matter. Inform us if you need further assistance.

    Thanks.

nooooo!!! I resubmit the form using this link, http://www.jotformpro.com/aytekin/form-design-awards

I provided the same url, http://www.cesstowebsolution.com/jotform/ as I provided the first time I submit my entry.

but it gave me another nominee url which is, http://www.jotform.com/awards/nominee/?Lordelito2 notice the number 2 at the end of the url. I just wanted to see the changes I made in http://www.jotform.com/awards/nominee/?Lordelito. yesterday I updated conditions of my form base from the advice of @charlie.

    please help. thanks!

    Hello,

There seems to be some confusion here. I am not sure why you submitted the link again for design awards.

You have already submitted one link but the form is still in your account only, correct. Changing the condition would have reflected in your form and its was not required to submit the design award entry again.

Do get back to us if you would like get the second entry deleted. I am not sure if that is possible but we can send a request to our back end team.

We will wait for your response.

    Thank you!

Hi yes please delete the /?lordelito2.

I really got confuse. If you read the above reply they were mentioning the "resubmit the form". that part made me confuse. I will save the changes everytime I made a changes for me I thought its just fine and thinking the http://www.jotform.com/awards/nominee/?lordelito will just display the modified version.

    Hi,

My apologies for the confusion that you had. The reason that I suggested that you just resubmit another entry is because I'm not sure if the initial filtering on that date has began (this is done internally by another team). Meaning, there's a chance that the flaw in the condition could have been already evaluated or pre-judged.

But it seems that with the conversation with my other colleagues, you have proceeded to use the first entry (which is alright because filtering and evaluation of forms seems to be done in multiple stages and not one time only). The 2nd nominee LORDELITO2 wouldn't really be a problem as long as you are focusing on the other one as your main entry.

Also, I see that your request has been escalated to our upper management, so it wouldn't really be a problem because they are aware of this and form nominees are evaluated multiple stages, as I've mentioned.

I hope this clear things up and I apologize again for the confusion.

Good luck with the competition! :)
