Here are a couple of screenshots showing how JotForm is populating Salesforce via Zapier:

Thank you for reporting this to us. I see what you mean. Selecting checkbox values will not show properly in Salesforce data.
Have you tried using the Salesforce Integration only?
I will be escalating this issue to our developers so that they can take a look at it. We will update on this thread once a solution is available.
Thank you for patience.
- scottyslittlesoldiersAnswered on November 21, 2014 at 05:50 PM
I initially tried the native integration, that didn't work at all except with the basic fields. I didn't like that there was no error to help you solve the issue so I went the Zapier route.
- CharlieAnswered on November 21, 2014 at 06:53 PM
Apologies for the inconvenience that this might have caused you. I see that this has been escalated to our developers and technical team to have a closer look. You will receive a notification when an update has been made.
Thank you for your understanding.

Zapier's integration with us works in a way that it checks for new JotForm submissions for a specified amount of time. They get the submissions via our API, and the checkbox data returned by our API is in an array format, so it is up to Zapier to display the data in any way they want.
To make the long story short, I would like to say that this is an issue on Zapier's end. Of course, as you are a JotForm user, we shall be coordinating with Zapier to have this problem resolved. We will update you as soon as we receive news from them.
In the meantime, may we suggest using the native Salesforce integration? If you are having issues with it, can you please specify what it is exactly?
- JotForm SupportNeilVicenteAnswered on November 26, 2014 at 05:13 AM
This issue has been fixed.
Do get back to us if you're still having issues.

Hi! That's great news, I'll check it a little later and see how I get on.
Regarding, the Salesforce integration that you guys offer, I have a lot of fields that I want to sync and it was only working for the default fields (Lead). I could probably spend some time adding each field individually to see which one was the problem but I didn't like the fact that there was no error notification via email so, even if I did get it working, if something went wrong it wouldn't be communicated to me that there was an issue. If something goes wrong with the Zapier sync I get a notification which details the field causing the issue - this makes it easier to maintain going forward. If you could introduce such notifications in the Salesforce integration I'd certainly give it another go.

I just test this and it's not working yet. It now separates items by commas but it's not working as it should as it's inserting the concatenated values and not inserting them as separate values. Here are some screenshots:
Here's what it looks like now:
And here's how it should look:
This isn't just an aesthetic issue as it completely throws out Salesforce's multi-picklist functionality. I've noticed that when you report on these fields they separate the fields with a semi-colon, perhaps when concatenating the values together it might perform as expected if you use a semi-colon rather than a comma.

Thank you for reporting back to us. I'll notify our developers and the technical team regarding this. You will receive a notification when an update has been made again regarding this matter. I apologize if this has caused you some inconveniences.
Thank you for understanding.

Hey folks - any update on this? I'd really like to go live with this system next week - and everything else is now working perfectly!
- JotForm SupportNeilVicenteAnswered on November 28, 2014 at 08:18 AM
No updates yet, Louis. We will let you know just in case.
- scottyslittlesoldiersAnswered on December 16, 2014 at 10:19 AM
Hi there! Any updates on this? We really need this sorted or we'll have to find a different provider - running out of time! I really think you might have some success using a semi-colon as the separator as opposed to a comma!
- CharlieAnswered on December 16, 2014 at 11:39 AM
Upon checking the status of your concern, we currently don't have an update yet. But, as my colleague NeilVicente mentioned, you will be notified immediately when a fix or an update has been done.
I do apologize for the inconvenience that this might have caused you, but rest assure that our developers and other back end team members are already aware of this and being notified.
Thank you for understanding.

No inconvenience! I just need this system to go live shortly and need to use an alternative if this isn't going to be fixed anytime soon - is there any chance you could ask your developers for an ETA so I can make alternative arrangements if there is going to be too long a delay?
PS - I appreciate it's always easier said than done!
- BenAnswered on December 16, 2014 at 12:58 PM
I took a look at the details that I can see and all that I can tell you is that the status of this bug has been raised to important, which means that our developers are actively working on the issue to resolve it for you.
Unfortunately there is no ETA that we could give to you, but as soon as there are any updates you will be notified of this.
- scottyslittlesoldiersAnswered on March 11, 2015 at 06:01 PM
Hi folks! I noticed this still isn't fixed - any chance someone can take a look?
I have had to write a hack within Salesforce to get this to work which swaps out the commas with semi-colons. If your developers use semi-colons instead of commas as separators this will fix the problem!
Give it a try!
- BenAnswered on March 11, 2015 at 06:19 PM
Thank you Louis for the info, but as mentioned by my colleague earlier this is the issue on Zapier's end and how they combine the data in array (separated) that is sent to them from our own servers, through the API.
We are actually waiting for them to get back to us - so that we can update you on this.
What I would suggest is to open a ticket directly with them, as that might help speed it up for you.
Basically it is up to them if they would need to combine the already split data using comma or semicolon.
You can contact them here: https://zapier.com/help/contact-us/

Cheers Ben - I'll do that now.
- SeanAnswered on March 11, 2015 at 09:38 PM
Ok. Please provide us with an update once available.
- scottyslittlesoldiersAnswered on March 12, 2015 at 12:14 PM
Hello! I heard back from Zapier. They say they can't do anything unless JotForms uses semi-colons as a separator rather than commas.
Perhaps in the UI you could provide an option to pick the list separator?
- BenAnswered on March 12, 2015 at 12:19 PM
Thank you Louis for getting back to us with that.
I will forward this to our team to see if it would be possible to send a different separator instead of using array as well as your idea about the UI.

I have exactly the same issue!
- ShadaeAnswered on April 05, 2015 at 10:34 AM
I do apologize for the issue that you are experiencing with your integration with Salesforce and Zapier
We do ask that each user create a new thread to have their issue addressed. Please create a new thread and provide us with more information regarding your inquiry.
- JotForm SupportNeilVicenteAnswered on September 05, 2015 at 03:56 PM
We are terribly sorry for the very late update, but we are happy to inform you that the separator for checkbox options have been changed from comma to semi-colon. Salesforce integration via Zapier should now fetch the multi-picklist field data correctly.
Thank you very much for your patience on this matter and for your continued patronage.
