Enable/Disable an integration conditionally based on the user's input on another field

Is there any functionality that controls integrations that allows me to activate an integratino based on the value of an input on the form?

    Example:

I use box sign integration for signature on a form. However if I can get signature on the form itself through jotsign, then i would want to bypass that integration and have the form simply sent to the client.

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm not quite sure I understand. In your example, are you trying to disable the Box Sign Integration when you're able to get a signature input through Jotform Sign? So you're probably looking for a condition to enable or disable the integration based on whether you receive the input you want on a certain form field, is this correct?

If this is what you're looking for, unfortunately, we do not have Conditional Logic that allows you to enable or disable an integration based on a user's input. If your aim is to ensure the user inputs a signature through Jotform Sign, then you can choose to require the field.

If I misunderstood your question, can you clarify a bit more about what you would like to accomplish so we can check on it further?

We look forward to your response.

    Hello there.

I have TWO different circumstances that are possible:

    1. The salesperson signs the agreement and has it forwarded to the client for signature. (we are forced to use box integration as jotform sign is not able to do this)
    2. The salesperson signs the agreement AND the customer signs the agreement - in which case I do NOT want the document using the integration with box sign - as then the customer would be asked to sign the document twice.

So the condition I am trying to establish is: IF the client has signed the agreement - THEN do NOT use the box sign integration.

I will admit that the second is not very common as the form sign feature does NOT allow the client to see the output pdf before it asks for the signature.... so i don't end up using this as often as i would prefer...

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for getting back to us. You can actually achieve this with our Jotform Sign. Once the workflow is complete, everyone involved will receive a confirmation email with an audit trail. The audit trail is essentially an at-a-glance record of who signed your document and when. The audit trail will be incredibly helpful in tracking workflows and making sure all of the appropriate parties have signed your document. You’ll also be able to view the audit trail in Sign Inbox at any time.

Give it a try and let us know if you need any help.

Sorry to tell you this but I have had to abandon Jotform sign as you also do not have the ability for me to generate a odf through a form and then automatically forward it for signature. If you check the flow of the box sign and Jotform sign you will see what I mean. If you check my history of messages about this for the last two months you will see that I really tried to get Jotform sign to work - but you guys simply don’t have it designed right.

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for getting back to us. We recently launched Jotform Sign, and we appreciate the feedback on our product. Your suggestion is not possible at this time; conditions cannot be applied within Jotform Sign Settings. However, this does not mean that it will never be implemented. We continually improve our product to provide more features to our users. Feature requests are submitted every day for the betterment of the product. When or if this feature is developed depends on our developers' workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it.

Reach out again if you need any more help.

No offense but Trying to use Jotform sign cost me a considerable table amount of time and reputationsl damage. I doubt I will spend more time trying to figure out how to make it work.

Your forms are great. I will keep using them as ling as I can integrate with other signature services. You simply have missed the mark on your signature product.

    Hi Mike,

We understand and value your feedback about our Jotform Sign feature. It's a relatively new feature and further improvements are still being made based on the suggestions and feedback we receive. But as mentioned by my colleague, it's currently not possible to enable/disable an integration in the form based on the user's input in a certain field. Once you integrate your form with Box, every submission will be sent over.

If you want, we can forward a feature request for this to our backend team. But please note that when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
