App wants me to Register to view the app when scanning the QR code

    Good morning,

I have been working on my App and form this morning. When I click the "try it on your device" and get the QR code to see app in action it now wants me to Register to actually see it. Should I have to register to see my app? or have I done something wrong somewhere along the way?

    Thank you.

    Hello Lester,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. If you are loading the app on your mobile device using the downloaded QR code, it will require you to log into an existing account in order to access the app. Currently, this is how the QR code works. This means that if you share the app's QR code to access it, they must log in to their existing Jotform account in order to load the app. Or you can simply share the link to the app with the respondents. That will not require any login details at all.

Reach out to us again if you have more questions.

Thank you for the fast reply.

Not sure I understand. If I am in the build portion of creating the app, I click the slider to "preview" app. In the preview screen there is a "try it on your device" QR pop up. So I have to sign in or log in just to test the app? That kind of make no since if I am the one designing the app. The app and form is still in the design phase and has not bee published yet.

    Thanks again for the help.

    Hi Lester,

Thanks for getting back to us. I made a test to see if I can replicate the issue but after clicking the "try it on your device" it doesn't ask me to log in. See the screencast below:

For us to have a better view of what is going on, can you record your screen and share with us the URL? You can use loom or any public hosting website.

Meanwhile, if you will share the direct URL to any messaging platform and set the Share Settings to Public, they don't need to have an account. Let me show you how:

    1. In your App Builder, click on Publish.
    2. Under the Quick Share tab, just copy the Link.

Once we have a better idea of what’s going on, we’ll be able to come up with a solution.

    Thanks again for the reply.

I think I actually figured it out by reading more of the forum questions. Under Publish, Settings, Options the require registration check box was checked. I un-checked it and can now use the qr code to test on my phone and tablet without registering.

Sorry for the confusion and thanks again for the help
