Why was my bill so much?

    Hello,

    We have used Jotform for several years and always renew on Dec. 1 because it is in the middle of the 50% sale. Why was I automatically billed the full amount this year? The 50% sale seems like it is still going on.

    Hi Rachel,

    Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. The discounted price only applies for the first year. When the subscription expires, the pricing will change to a regular price.

    That's why you were billed with the full amount this year since you availed of the discount last year.

    But if the 50% off sale is going on now, why wouldn't that extend to me? I can cancel the renewal, get a refund, and then purchase anew at 50% off. So why make customers and you do an extra step?

    Hi Rachel,

    Thanks for getting back to us. Sorry for any confusion; the reason for this is that the discount is only available for upgrades. So, if you downgrade to the free plan, you can use the discount to upgrade your subscription. Please keep in mind that the new prices will be applied as soon as you downgrade your subscription.
