Have a numeric box to enter phone number 10 digits, and auto edit it to (nnn) nnn-nnnn

You may like to take a look at our "Phone Picker" or "International Telephone Picker" widget and that should help you. It will allow you to add/edit phone number in proper format. 

Alternatively, you can just take advantage of our "Input Mask" property of the text box question and set the format as per your choice. Please check the screenshot below:
