Is there a way to send a file as an attachment without a copy going to jotform?

This site is really amazing to create and use forms especially where we want the user to upload files.

I just want to know only one thing from you. I noticed that the uploaded files get saved on a default path and accessed from there. Is there a way to send the file directly as attachment without having a copy in the folder.

Thank you for the comment about our platform. As for sending a file as an attachment without copying it into the folder that's not possible unless you're willing to get your hands dirty with the form's source code and some custom programming. We've seen a few cases where it's been done outside of jotform using custom scripts by other users who have done so.

The way it normally works is a user uploads a file through your jotform where it is then stored in your form as part of the submission data. Then if you have any email notifications those would be sent out with a link to the file(s) to download or if there are any integrations such as with google drive, box, or even dropbox then those would also get sent out as a copy as well.

One way around that without using custom programming skills if you lack that would be to use it as normal then just enable the Autodeletion App on your jotform, but make sure you grab the file before it gets deleted since once the submission is gone the file would be gone also.

If you are looking to get the file uploads in the form as an email attachment then we have a great news for you. Files uploaded to your form can now be sent as an attachment on email notifications. Please give it a try and let us know if you have any feedback.
