Change Date formatting jotform google calendar date format to match itDuzzit

    Hi everyone,

I've been having a little issue with synchronising my submissions into my google calendar, everything goes perfectly apart from the date.

By default the date is today's date, but when a user tries to put in a different date it sets it to default.

After looking at the input and output values (see screenshot below) I can see it has gotten the info correctly but the output has stayed at the default date (today's date).

I'm guessing the format being different is causing this issue: input 12.05.2014 output 04 December 2014:

Is there any way to get the same formatting done in Jotform?

    Thank you for reading!

I see you are having a problem with getting the date formatting to appear correctly.

Have you tried changing the date format output on your jotform?

In most cases there is an option usually which allows you to change the date output format.

If it's still a problem though then can you please share a link to your jotform with this issue and we will glaldy look into it more?

    Hi,

Thank you for your reply, yes I have tried changing the format as I tried the mmddyyyy so it would be the same date format as itDuzzit, but still the same.

Here is the link to my jotform: http://form.jotformeu.com/form/42703376120345

Thank you for your help so far!

    Thanks for your reply.

I have removed the default date in Jotform so it is blank but it hasn't changed the issue, which I suspected as from my first screennshot we can see that the information is picked up that the user puts in a date "12.06.2014" So it seems itDuzzit does see the input but doesn't see it as a proper date format, when setting up the integration it is also shown:

Unfortunately I can't change itDuzzit's default date setting and it seems that as it doesn't understand the date given so it just goes to default.

We appreciate the additional information and I do see what you mean now. I think the problem is because itDuzzIt might not recognize the field correctly as you stated and yes that would be why it wouldn't appear so instead IDI just replaces it with an impartial defaulted date.

Unfortunately, my knowledge of itDuzzIt other than our Integration is a bit limited but from what I do know I'm not entirely sure if it's going to work since it's not recognizing the date field properly. The app should read the field tag properly to import it correctly.

However, just for reassurance reasons please give us some more time to try to test this further to see if we can make it work somehow. If there's a way around it, a fix, or if I'm at fault then I'll certainly inform you with an updated solution as soon as possible.

Thank you very much for your reply, we'll see how it goes, such a shame it's just that small glitch!

I also contacted itDuzzit yesterday to see if they can change the value somehow so that it's compatible with the input date.

I'll also let you know if there's any news from itDuzzit.
