Any type of formatting possible with text area's plain text mode?

is there any type of formatting possible for plain text mode..such as strong or new line or any thing...

You are referring to the Text Area field, right? If so, unfortunately, since it's in the plain text mode, you cannot add any formatting there. Use Rich Text instead if you want to format texts.
