    How to separate checkbox data when exporting to Excel?

    How can I keep data from checkboxes when exporting to Excel?

    I used the checkbox object in a form.  When I export the data to Excel, it displays as "Checked: ______Unchecked: ______Checked: ______Checked: ______".  I had 4 items included in the checkbox object.

    I used the text to columns command in Excel to try to separate the answers into individual columns.  When I do that, I get only the first Checked or Unchecked plus the first checkbox item; the others disappear.

    Can the checkbox data be exported to a list in a usable way?

    We save only checked options for our standard Check Box fields.

    Would you like to have the same format for a Checklist widget? Please confirm, so we will be able to forward a feature request to our Development Team.

    My output did not look like the example below. That information is what I would like to see in the report. How can I access the submissions to see it displayed in that way?
    Is there a preferred browser for JotForm? I am currently using Internet Explorer.

    Hi Martha,

    I would just like to confirm which one of the following is true to know what we should do next:

    1. you have said that you will use Fancy Checkboxes widget from now on.

    2. you would like to have the selected options listed out for checkbox fields just as they are on Fancy Checkboxes widget?

    3. You would like them to be listed as in Checklist widget mentioned by my colleague?

    1. Yes, I will use the Fancy Checkboxes widget from now on. When that data from that object is exported to Excel, it lists the options that were checked. That’s exactly what I wanted to see.
    2. I like to see the response data listed the way it is through the fancy checkboxes.
    3. I will not be using the regular Checkbox widget The response data for that object is not as user friendly: it shows “Checked:” or “Unchecked:” followed by the option and is displayed in one cell.
