Smart Phone can't dial phone number because of the parenthesis around the area code

2.  The phone number option on the form is incompatible with smart phones.  You have a ( )  Parentheses around area code which prevents smart phones from dialing number on the form received.

In that case, I would suggest enabling Mask Input to your Phone Number field:

You can configure Mask Value not to use the parenthesis.  Or, you can also use Textbox field with numeric validation:
