We don't require you to authorize anything. We need a field just like the credit card charging field, but rather than you processing the payment, we need you to just collect all the information and submit it to us.

We have a strong policy about collecting such details and I do not see that as something that would change over time.
The payment authorization is the closest thing to collecting credit card details since it allows you to have the clients make the authorization for you to collect the payment at the later time.

Additionally with the credit card processing, who processes it? how much do
they charge? Time delay?

We have various payment tools that you can integrate on your form
When setting up the integration, you will be able to see the cost associated with the processing of a payment.
