Hi,
I use JotForm to register participant to sport events, participants are classified in categories based on birth date.
Here under exemple of categories for Trail Race
I managed to do it for a specific year, dealing ith birth date windows, in form http://form.jotformeu.com/form/43427070300340
But this setting requires maintenance as will need to update the categorie dates each year hence I am looking for a mean to achive this by only setting the race year event which woudl trigger all categories birth dates windows.
V4 = 70 years old and older at race time
V3 = More or equal to 60 years old an less than 70
...I set-up the course date vriable (Année de la course), age windows variable: V4, V3H (V3 maxim age), V3L (V3 minimum age) variables quite fine. Now I am unbale to make use of thes variables in dates conditions to generate the categorie field output. See my test form http://form.jotformpro.com/form/43446484841966
Thanks for your help,
Georges

I created a clone and replaced the date field by separate dropdown fields. This way it is possible to connect the year field to a Form Calculation so conditions can be added afterwards:
You can test and clone the demo form:
http://form.jotformpro.com/form/43453607491962?
For now it has only the first 2 conditions added. To add the remaining ones please select conditions > update a form field value:

Hi Carina,
Thanks for your solution which is eaxctly the one I was edding to, forgetting the "Date of birth" wizard and creating 2 diffrent text field to receive the 3 parts of the date of birth.
Altough this solution is adding columns to the final Google SpreadSheet, I can cope with that.
An extra remaining thing is how to insure at data filling time that user do not pick day 31rst for September month or day 29th for February 1995.
Best Regards,
Georges

What you could do is to add a Text field with a message something like "Not a valid date", and crate conditions like these:
You might want to try my example here: http://form.jotformpro.com/form/43468919626974?
Hope this helps, let us know if you have more questions we will be glad to assist you.
