Today's outtageAsked by zultys on December 12, 2014 at 06:27 PM
Can you please tell me how long you were down today and the cause?
Can you also tell me how often you have been down this year in unplanned service / maintenance?
Are these unscheduled interruptions in service documented anywhere?
Our application is enterprise grade and I am concerned about rolling out Jotform will not be reliable enough for our clients.
It would be nice if Jotform would keep http://jotformstatus.com/ updated. It hasn't seen an update since 2013.
i am just as concerned. But that site does show their history which doesnt look bad.
@kauseway - For those of us who use jotforms for our own client-facing sites, we want acknowledgement and assurances, showing that they're a proactive service provider, so we can assure our own users/clients that things are being seen to as/when we need to.
I have updated the JotFrm Status site with more details:
Thank you for updating the status site aytekin.
Thanks for reminding me about the jotformstatus site. We have such a good uptime that it took me a while to find the login information for that tumblr site. :)
UnLitho. I understand, you completely need to do that. I was just showing you and everyone what appeared to be an active link of downtime history which you said was not being updated.
@kauseway - the pingdom site is an automated site that provides stats and numbers. We were looking more for a human response to the issues (which was the purpose for the jotformstatus.com site). Zultys and I were more interested in the "what's going on" / "how long will this affect us and our clients" type of response.
@aytekin - Thanks for getting that updated, it is certainly appreciated! We love the service, but as with any service that caters to a lot of people... it's good to have that human element speaking up about the "why things are going wrong" scenarios.
My forms are still not showing up on the webpage. After a few minutes trying, it gives an error message that they cannot be found. It would almost seem that the pingdom is measuring uptime for the principal jotforms site, perhaps where this forum and other informational pages are held - but it is not measuring the server where forms are held. That server seems to be experiencing a significantly longer downtime that what pingdom is revealing.
Does anyone else have forms showing up on their sites?
My forms are available at the moment however I am still getting some page errors.
Further to the quintagyo post regarding Pingdom stats indicating whether or not my forms are available; regardless if the Pingdom service is getting response from Jotform router or an application server, either way it does not verify my forms are actually available. The Jotform application could crash however server is still responding to pings. Correct me if I am wrong here.
I have gone through 2 other webform applications and it is clear to me that Jotform is my last hope. My experience to date is that it is the right application for me. If I am wrong, my option is not another webform provider. It is going back to PDF forms and this I do not want to do.
We are happy that you have chose to use JotForm for your online form needs. We do under the importance of having your form available as such we try our best to resolve any issues that may arise as quickly as possible.
We have resolved the error that you experienced, you should no longer be receiving error messages, can you confirm if the issue still persist?
I have moved your inquiry to a new thread: http://www.jotform.com/answers/474997
It will be addressed there.
