Checklist Widget Feature Request: Include a setting to restrict number of checkboxes which can be selected

    Maximum Selections Limit is only available on the standard check-box (B) in my example but not check-Box (A)

    Can I add this Maximum Selections Limit feature to (A) or can I make (B) look like the (A) check-box.

    Unfortunately, there's currently no setting in the Checklist widget to restrict the number of checkboxes which can be selected but I have submitted a request to our developers to see if that functionality can be added to it. You'll be notified here if and when the feature is implemented.

    As to getting the second checkbox field in your jotform to look like the first, it might be possible but I'm not making any promises.

    I have found the gift registry widget looks the same as the checklist but has a maximum checkbox limit setting is it posable to remove the counter or make it invisible?

    Any news on this request, this feature (a setting to restrict number of checkboxes which can be selected) is already available in the check-box & gift registry widgets it must be possible to enable it in the checklist

    Hi,

    There are many updates that we have done recently on the widgets as you can see here: http://www.jotform.com/answers/416654-Widget-News-Issue-9-August-15-2014#4

    I know that our developers are busy working on some new exciting feature with widgets, but our developers will first be focusing on the found bugs. However as soon as there is any update on this we will update you through this thread about it.

    Best Regards,
    Ben

    I have found a solution, using the gift registry widget which looks the same as the checklist and has the needed maximum check-box limit setting but also has a counter which in this case isn't needed.

    Here is how make the counter almost invisible (a) set all the options to {Unlimited} then (b) in the unlimited label text box enter the + symbol now all that shows of the counter in the checklist is a small green + symbol and now it works like a checklist

    There is also the added feature of using the counter feature in reverse, in the the counter label text  box enter "available" or "left" this will never be seen in the list unless you change the Option {Unlimited} text but if you want to limit or remove an options later change it to {0} and the only text that shows on the checklist is "none available" or "2 left" {2}

    This turns the gift registry widget into a very versatile checklist
