Spinner Field Does Not Allow Input by TypingAsked by myprintingpal on December 13, 2014 at 06:30 AM
The 'spinner' fields on one of my forms is functioning incorrectly. Numbers can't be inputted via a keyboard input and you have to select the up/down arrows to get the number to be inserted. This is fine if you'd like to insert a small number ie '10' but how on earth do you expect my users select large numbers ie '1000'? Click the 'up' arrow 1000 times!?
Please fix this as a matter of urgency or advise if there is something I need to correct my end.
I thank you in advance for your assistance.
My Forms arrow select assistance spinner typing
To confirm, you would like your user to be able to type in their desired quantity?
If that is the case, you can use the numbers field in the Quick tools, this will allow your users to type in their desired quantity.
I hope this helps, please inform us if you need further assistance.
Thanks for for getting back to me. I understand what you're saying with regards to using the number field instead of the spinner field to allow my users to type in the numbers rather than using the up/down arrows however, I and my users were able to type in the numbers with the spinner filed before but now it doesn't allow it. I'm 100% certain on that as when I tested/created the form I remember typing in '500' (as I had a condition that related to that number) there is no way I would have sat there and clicked the up arrow 500 times (I would of remembered that and changed the filed type to the numbers as you suggested)
If you could please kindly check to see if this is a new change that's been implemented on the spinner field, or of there is an error of some kind.
I don't really want to edit the form spinners to a number field as they were working perfectly before. And my form is quite complex.
Thanks for for looking into this further.
I've check our spinner and it seems that it does not allow user to input value. I've checked other spinners online and input should be possible. Let me escalate this to our developers and back end team so that they can take a closer look on it. We'll receive a notification when an update has been made.
