Where does the data stored when form is placed on different sites?

If there are forms on different sites (one on Facebook and one on company website), does all the data go to the same place?  What type of database holds the data? 

When the data is submitted in a form, it goes to our servers that are located in 3 different data centers to assure high availability. Regardless if the form is embedded in a website, or a Facebook page or accessed by its direct URL.
