Why there's an unfunctional captcha before the "success message"?

    Hello there!

Since yesterday, I'm having difficulties to send/finish the data on some of my forms:

I work on a Brazilian Financial Group, and I use embed forms in my website, giving the oportunity to our customer to send their documents and other files via upload directly on the Credit Card page, or even ask to receive in their email or address our sing-up form.

Everything was working pretty fine before yesterday, when our Contact Center team (responsible to receive that subscriptions) realized that the customers where reporting an error. Before they receive the success message when send the form data, they must fill up a captcha validation field, doing so, the data will be sent.

The problem isn't only the captcha itself, but also that the captcha image doesn't even load in some cases. I believe it may be a problem with the browser compatibility, but we don't even know how to instruct our customers.

Can anybody help me? The forms that I'm talking about are in the following page (the website is whole in Portuguese, click the buttons to show them).

I'll really appreciate your help, and thank you already!

    Best regards,

    Hi,

This is most likely connected to the recent DDoS attack on our servers from Brazil IPs, so our system is making extra steps (captcha) to deny such action repeating again.

You can see more about it here: http://jotformstatus.com/post/105049547226/downtime-between-7pm-and-8pm-est-on-dec-12-2014

Now what I would suggest to remove the second captcha is to show it in the first page instead.

Now, when I took a look at the jotform I was able to see the captcha image without any issues.

If you are still not able to see the captcha image, I would then suggest switching it to ReCaptcha instead.

Do let us now if you have any further questions.

    Best Regards,
    Ben

    Hello Ben!

Reading about the recent posts here I thought it could be related, as you said.

Could you help me to create the ReCaptcha? I don't know how to do it.

    Thanks again!

    Hi Bruno,

Yes. that is not a problem, we will go over the steps to turn on reCaptcha now.

To add it you should first add the plain captcha field from Quick Tools.

Now once we do we should select it in the Form Builder interface. Basically find it in the right side where you set your jotform design and click on it.

Once you do, you will see new options in the toolbar at the top. At this time you should click on reCaptcha button and you should see the style of your captcha tool already changed its appearance.

Do let us know if you have any problems setting it up or if you have any further questions and we would be happy to help.

    Best Regards,
