Text Area Field shifts and loses border after being filled and submitted

Asked by test3 on December 19, 2014 at 01:40 AM

Here you can see that when I pressed submit button then the border of the text area is vanished and submit button jump to above. I want to avoid that. Is it possible to keep the view unchanged of the text area after clicking on the submit button?

I have also tried to do it by using text box field (changing the width and height of it using CSS code) but main problem is that the text always started from the middle length of the text box.so,

is it possible to chanage the text position in the text field

I checked your problem in regards to the issue you mentioned about the textarea field border disappearing when the jotform has been submitted. However, on my end I'm unable to replicate it. I tried it with and without text but there was no differences on my side so far.

From looking at your screenshots it appears that there might be a temporary problem that since then been resolved. I've also cleared your form cache to refresh it so that should help. Additionally, I would recommend clearing your browser cache.

Please try this again but do let us know if you are still experiencing this problem.

As for your other question about when you started playing with the css and text position you mentioned a secondary question which I moved to a separate thread here.

I checked it and notice that when I click submit without writing anything in the comment field then the size of the box remain constant (Just like video provided by you.)

But when I write anything in the box then the problem arises (when I pressed submit button then the border of the text area is vanished and submit button jump to above.)

    ## I've also cleared my form cache to refresh it so that should help. Additionally, I have also cleared my browser cache. I also check it from IE,FF,OPERA,GOOGLE but same result.

Thanks for trying and the update. I tried this again now and I was finally able to replicate the problem you mentioned so I do apologize about that.

I tested this further and it seems to me that the browser isn't reading the input properly. So therefore when the form is submitted it shifts unexpectedly. I did a comparison with it versus the standard text box but I could see the text box input stayed as it should. This leads me to think there's a possible flaw in the text area field somewhere as I don't recall it doing that before.

I've sent a bug report about this to our developers.

I can understand that your development team is trying to solve it. But if you/your development team inform me that is it possible to do or not, it will be easier to me to take necessary step. Because in this situation I do not know how long should I wait? So, please try to understand my problem.

    Thank you.....

I'm sure it's possible, however, the support team can't tell an exact timeframe for when our developers will release the update for this problem. We understand your situation. But I'm sure this won't take too long.

We thank you for your patience and understanding!
