Word count capability and limitation for Text Area fields

Is there, at long last, a word counter available for Text area fields to limit number of words?

Yes, this is possible to limit the allowed number of words/characters on the Text Areas. There are two options:

1) Native Entry Limit option on the Text Areas.

2) Character Counter widget.
