Records in Google Drive Deleting automatically?

    I am making entries in the form and those are getting recorded in the jotform submissions + google sheets + data in google drive.

     

    I notice that when i delete the fields from Jotform submissions, the data from the Google Drive is automatically deleted.

     

    Is this normal behaviour? or something is wrong here???

    Hi,

    I notice that when i delete the fields from Jotform submissions, the data from the Google Drive is automatically deleted.

    If you delete the field on the form, the submission data associated to the deleted field will be deleted also on the form's submission data.

    BUT it should NOT delete the existing data in your Google drive (there is no direct connection between the submission data and your google drive)

    BUT take note that if there was a deleted field on the form, the succeeding submission in your integrated Google drive will also now be missing the deleted field data.

    Is this what you were saying?

    Please let us know if this is not the case and we will investigate for any issue.

    i am referring to the google drive data....the submission wrt form fields delted are absolutely comfortable for subsequent entry, but the existing data from my drive got deleted. this is worrying, please look into this.

    Do let me know what all information is required for evaluation at your end.

    I have currently deleted the data from the jotform submission and the data from google drive is automatically deleted.

     

    I might have some screenshots, if they can help.

    Hello mongaakshay,

    I did check your form's "Revision History" to find our which form fields you have deleted. It seems you last deleted few "Visual Multi Select" widgets on November 04, 2014. Is these widget have caused the issue.

    When the form is submitted, it uploads a submission pdf in your google drive account. Do you mean to say that when you delete a form fields, all the submission pdf from your google drive also gets deleted.

    I did clone your form and tested it several times by adding and removing the "Visual Multi Select" widget but I am unable to replicate the issue. I would suggest you to let us know the steps to reproduce the issue and share a screenshot of the google drive as well as the submission pdf which gets deleted and we will take a look.     hi, I have deleted the relevant entries that were created in Google Drive as the sheet is integrated otherwise would have shared. can you please keep this post open as this is a common defect and i will arrange to put up something probably before the week closes?
