How to create tabs with Form Tabs widgetAsked by alexzanderdausch on December 22, 2014 at 02:14 PM
I am in the final stages of building an online application form for an adult vocational school where I work. I have the form all completed except the tabs widget is consistently breaking, behaving strangely and displaying numbers when I am labeling the tabs with words. I have tried separating the tab labels by hitting ENTER and giving each one its own line. I have also done it with commas and spaces, and still the same problem.
This tabs function and its appropriate labels are vital to my ability to integrate this form. I have spent a lot of time building this form to my employers very specific needs and this one issue is preventing me from implementing it! Why is the tabs widget so unstable? More importantly, how do I fix my problem! Please see my screenshot. The form URL is listed below.
And yes, I have tried moving the tabs widget in the form. It only works at all when I put it at the very bottom of the form. It is clear that this is an instability issue, because I have tried every labeling format and approach I can. I also have gone through many instances of deleting the widget from the form and reinstalling it. The problem persists, regardless.
I need this fixed in the next 24 hours!
Thank you for the screenshots.
Please set the tabs separator to be comma instead of a new line and hit save. This should allow you to save the tabs properly on your jotform.
If not, do let us know and we would be happy (if you do not mind) to step into your account and make the change - only to tab list - so that it is working properly for you.
We apologize for the confusion.
Line or comma separated options are both supported - as long as they are used consistently.
Please let us know if you have further difficulty.
