Feature Request: Have a 'loading progress' indicator appear for all jotforms

    Hi JotForm Team,

I think I'm not alone that many of us always encounter slow loading of your online form (even just a simple form). We suggest that you provide a professional looking animated progress indicator so that the end users are aware that the form is actually loading and functioning as normal. It would be very much appreciated if you can add this as a standard behavior of all embedded online forms without redeploying our code again because many of us have "tons of form" on our website.

Thank you very much and Merry Christmas to all of you!

Seems like a worthwhile suggestion. I'll submit a ticket on it and you'll be notified here if or when it gets implemented.

Thanks and a Merry Christmas to you as well :)

I think we should solve the underlying problem instead of the symptoms.

I looked at some of your forms and they opened very quickly for me.

Is the form with slowness problem one of these or a different form?

Can you use Chrome Developer Tools or Firefox Firebug to send us a screenshot of what is slowing down your forms?

You're so confident with the CONSISTENCY of your form's loading speed with the users around the world with different bandwidth and devices?

This is NOT about the underlying problem or symptom, it is all about BEST PRACTICE by having a progress indicator to tackle diverse audiences with different capacity.

Debugging with developer tools is your job, not my job, but I can give a link to test about the PERFORMANCE CONSISTENCY:

    1. Follow the link below:

    2. Click on Register Now BUT DO NOT SUBMIT ANYTHING AS THIS IS LIVE.

Secondly, now is Christmas here and perhaps your server is more free than peak working hour. But again, I'm talking about Best Practice to handle diverse user capacity.

Whether you want to consider this feature, or you want to save your resources for other priority, it's up to you.

What I meant was that we should first solve the problem, instead of putting a lipstick on a pig. If we can't solve it, then we can certainly add a progress bar if necessary.

I found the reason of the problem. One of the scripts took 5 seconds to load. That's not supposed to happen. It must be caused by something on our end. We will look into that and get back to you.

It's good to hear that you're willing to solve the "root cause" -- but what if it took you ages to solve it for just only 1 type of scenario?

With the progress indicator, slow loading time (or form types) will show the progress indicator, for fast loading time (or form types), end users have no chance to see the indicator at all. For any future unforeseen circumstances that may cause the form to be slowing down again, your progress indicator still serve the purpose by calming down your users (and end users) while your team is doing their investigation that may take time -- what's wrong with this solution?

Anyway, you're the founder, your business is up to you to shape it. Merry Christmas to you.

P/S: And by the way, what happen to my avatar on this forum? Why the picture suddenly changed to something else?
