We run a summer camp, for our park district, that is 8 weeks long. There are 3 different age groups, and they are only able to select a week of camp from their age group. There are also only 36 spots per week available. I am having a hard time making a user-friendly form that will only allow registrants the option to pick weeks based on their age and if the week is not already filled. The registrants also have to pay for the camp at time of registration to secure their spot(s). I have been utilizing the appointment application but seem to keep finding glitches. Can you please suggest a way to do this to make it easier for me and the registrants?

    Hello Kari,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. We’re sorry if you’re having trouble completing your form with the Appointment field. I’ll do my best to help you out.

If you are interested, we also have Camping Form Templates where you can view sample camping forms so that you can get ideas or even use and make some minor changes.

I just want to confirm, do parents/guardians can add multiple campers on one submission or every camper is equal to one submission? You may also consider using Gift Registry widget or Quantity Gift Registry widget, you can set the limit of 36 slots and will make changes in real-time if the slot was taken. Check out the sample I made below:

Then you can add a Product List element and have the products named as campers or you can check this guide on How to Pass a Calculation to a Payment Field.

Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to help you with this.

I was able to use the gift registry widget. So I can now limit the number of total spots per week to 36. However, now I need a way to limit the number of selections that can be made based on the number of campers they will have. For example; the form gives them the option to register 3 campers. Is there a way to prevent the registrant from selecting more than 3 weeks? If they only have one camper they can onnly select one week, and so on...

    Hi Kari,

Thanks for getting back to Jotform Support. First off, instead of using a Multiple Choice element for the question "How many campers are you registering", you can use a Single Choice element and then you can try to use this condition instead to add form fields if they will register more than one camper, see screenshots and screencast below:

    For one camper:

    For two campers:

    For three campers:

    See the screencast below:

Going back to your question, does this mean every camper should choose one week only from the given camping weeks or they can choose multiple weeks?

We will move forward as soon as we receive a response from you.

Yes, each camper can only choose 1 week of camp. So if they select 2 campers being registered then they can only select 2 weeks total, and in the correct age group.

    Hi Kari,

Thank you for getting back to us. I believe your requirement can be achieved by creating the sample condition below; however, it is not possible to disable a certain option in the multiple-choice field to select a certain number of weeks depending on the number of campers chosen.
