    'Create sub-products from this option' js conflict in Internet Explorer 8-9

    I have a form at http://www.mg2015.com/regalia.html where an unlock code is required to open the order form to purchase regalia items for our upcoming car show. I used the collapse form method as outlined in another post in the forum and it works great for all browsers except IE9 and earlier versions. Unfortunately a lot of our potential customers apparently are using corporate computers that have internet explorer v9 installed so we need this issue resolved if at all possible. The intent is to hide the actual order form unless the correct code is entered.

    Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello Jim,

    I did check your web page where you have embedded your form and it seems it does not work in chrome and firefox as well. Please check the screenshot below:

     

    There seems to be some code conflict between JotForm script and other scripts of your web page. I would suggest you to embed your form using it iFrame embed code and that should solve your problem.     Thank you for the quick response. I did check the form initially in several
    browsers and again tonight - see screenshots below and it works OK in most
    modern browsers, however it does not work in IE 9 or IE 8. I have also
    embeded the form in an iframe but it has the same results (see
    http://www.mg2015.com/regalia-x.html)

    Hello Jim,

    Your form with the iFrame embed code seems to work fine in IE9 (developer tools) and other browsers as well. Please check the screenshot below:

     

    It also works fine with IE8 as well. Please check the screenshot below:

    Thanks for the additional reply. The form works fine for me in IE11 and all
    emulation modes under developer tools both embedded on the page or in an
    iframe. However, I have an older computer with Windows XP and IE8 installed
    and it doesn't work propery on that computer and I am getting the same
    report from several testers using computers with IE9 installed. The emulator
    mode doesn't seem to be catching the problem.

    I was able to reproduce the issue in the old versions of Internet Explorer on your form. I am still looking into, and I will update this thread soon.

    According to my tests, the issue is caused by enabled 'Create sub-products from this option' option on your products. That option is conflicting with the form scripts in Internet Explorer 8 and 9.

    A bug report ticket has been attached to this thread and escalated to our Development Team. There is no ETA for when it will be fixed, but we will update this thread once we have any updates.
