Is it possible to capture the GPS coordinates of user?Asked by Tim on December 26, 2014 at 01:11 AM
I want to create a form that my employees can access on their mobile phone to check in and out. So it records the time they check in to work and check out and also captures their location when they do this. Would this be possible with JotForm?
Yes it is possible to achieve your requirement.
You need to just add "GPS Location" widget in your form and that will capture the location from where your form was submitted. Please be noted that if user uses GPS enabled device, the widget will capture the GPS coordinates of the user otherwise it will location based on the IP address of the user.
Hope this helps.

Thanks. And having buttons for "Check In" and "Check Out" that record the time they click those would also be possible? And could this information be sent to a spreadsheet or to Quickbooks?
