Retain the Format of the Text in Textarea to Show in PDFAsked by guineapigme on December 31, 2014 at 09:02 AM4. And finally, I would like to retain the formatting (including white space) in the text box areas that I have created so that when they turn into a pdf, they are retained. My user is trying to arrange people in formations via names and to have the white space go away in the form is not what I need.

Unfortunately, the PDF file won't show the same format as in your form. This is a feature that is already in our feature request list, hopefully it will be implemented in the nearest future.
If this feature is not going to be implemented in the near future, is there a widget or something you could recommend that would allow a typed layout that retains its format?
Unfortunately no. It is not possible retain the HTML formatting of a text are field. have you checked our "CKEditor" widget already. Please take a look and see if that fits into your requirement.
