Zapier integration - start approval flow automatically after form is filled

    Hi there!


    Hope you're well.

    I've been experiencing an issue with my "Nitrogen Express Service Proposal" form automatically triggering an approval flow. When I directly fill out the the form, it starts the approval flow, but the form isn't filled out directly/manually, the data is populated using Zapier. When Zapier populates the Jotform, it does not automatically trigger the approval flow.

    Please help!


    The current workflow is: customer fills out "Nitrogen Express: Request a Quote" form, this data is then sent to airtable with Zapier connection. That same data is then taken using Zapier and brought back to Jotform to fill out the seperate "Nitrogen Express Service Proposal" form.

    When the "Nitrogen Express Service Proposal" form is complete, it should trigger an approval flow.


    How can we trigger the approval flow for "Nitrogen Express Service Proposal" automatically after it's filled by Zapier?

    Or do you suggest another workaround?

Also, it would help us better understand the issue if you can send us a screen recording showing the steps you did to replicate the issue. You can use Loom or upload a video on your Google Drive and share a viewable link.

    The challenge is that when data is sent via zapier to this smart pdf, the submission does not automatically activate the workflow approval process.

    Hi Jason,

    Thanks for getting back to us. I'm sorry this is happening. I tried cloning your form to see if I could reproduce the problem, but when I filled it out directly, everything worked as it should. The approval flow starts once the form is submitted, so there may be a problem with Zapier. Could you please send us a screen recording of how you used the form to test the problem? The Loom application is accessible.
