Approval Workflow: Ability to assign multiple approvers

I am making an approval form and I want the form to have multiple approvers. If someone is not free at the moment the other person can approve the form. I do not want the first person to reassign the form to someone else but give both approvers equal power to approve the form.

    Hi Shreya,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, there's no option yet to add multiple approvers on one Approval or Approve and Sign element. Yes, the options are to allow the original approver to reassign the task or you as the form owner to reassign the ask as well. Also, it might work to enable Escalation. The idea is if the original approver is unable to take an action after a certain period of time (which you can set ) the task will be escalated to a different user. Let me show you how:

    1. Click on Setting on the Approval Element
    2. Click on Advanced
    3. Turn on Escalation
    4. Set the due date
    5. Enter the email address where the the task will be escalated1676535926 63ede8767e5d6 Screenshot 10

However, what you raised is something that is useful to allow to add multiple approvers with the same power and whoever is available, can do the task without a need to reassign nor escalate. I've gone ahead and escalated your request to our Developer Team. When or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

    Hi,

We have implemented multiple approval options. Now you can add multiple approvers and set approval completion rules. You can find these rules below:

    • Require response from majority

Approver responses will get until the majority of responses recieved. If there is a tie, the first response with the majority wins.

    • Require response from all

When all approvers have responded, the workflow will proceed using the outcome with the majority of responses. In the case of a tie, the majority outcome with the first response is used.

    • Require certain number of responses

Approver responses will get until the required number of responses is received. If there is a tie, the first response with the majority wins.

    • Require response from one person

The workflow will proceed using the outcome from the first response.
