How can I correct a submission that has an error on it?

Asked by mgresa on October 05, 2011 at 10:31 PM

After clicking on submissions and finding the submission to correct, the edit button is clicked.  The form comes up and the changes are made to both the date (which was wrong) and to the Notes box.  The form is then Submitted at the bottom and it goes out of edit mode.

But, when you check back to the list of submissions and look at that form, it still has the incorrect information in the submission and no changes were saved.

    Hi,

When you are done modifying the submission entry, how do you exactly get out of edit mode? Do you click the Cancel Edit or do you refresh the page?

From what I've observed after doing some tests, clicking the Cancel Edit button displays the unedited submission even if you have already submitted the changes, while refreshing the page will show the newly updated submission entry. Either way, the changes made to a submission entry are saved.

If you still cannot save changes to a submission, please try using a newer browser such as Chrome or Firefox. I noticed that you are using a very old version of Internet Explorer. That may also be one of the possible reasons as to why you are encountering this problem.

    Neil,
Thank you so much. Using Firefox solved the problem. The data is now saved
    with changes.
