Hi guys - we're having a few problems with our form - http://form.jotform.com/form/12564729531

Users (and we) have been unable to upload files with it. I've checked the settings and they appear ok.

This form is embedded in a page at http://moodleposium2011.moodlesites.com/mod/page/view.php?id=40

People have tried to upload .zip, .wmv and .doc files. These have ranged in size from 350KB to 20MB. We did have one user successfully upload a pdf (however I tried this with no luck). The file appears to upload but when we hit Submit, we just get a message stating "Upload Error. File could not be uploaded for some reason. Please go back and fix this"

Problems have occurred in IE7, Safari 5.1, Chrome 14 and FF7.

    Hope you can help

    cheers

    Col

    Hi Col,

The intermittent nature of this problem has led me to believe that this is a location-specific issue. There have been a lot of threads opened concerning the same problem. The root cause is a little difficult to track though, as I was unable to recreate the problems described by users.

I tested your form by uploading a 3.7MB zip file and it went through successfully. Truth be told, our developers must be able to experience the issue themselves so they can find the root cause and fix it.

Can you please test this form URL instead?

Notice that I replaced form with www in the URL. Let us know if it helps in any way.

We'll be awaiting your feedback. Thanks!

Thanks Neil, sorry about the delay in getting back to you - long weekend over here.

I tested the form in your post with a ~10MB pdf and that worked perfectly.

Maybe it was just the www - would this make a difference in the case of an embedded form?

    cheers
