I cannot edit the first part of the sub-domain when using custom Domain on JotForm

Asked by swetor on January 06, 2015 at 05:44 PM

I would like to say that I cannot change or edit the first part of the address http://www.jotformeu.com/swetor/group. Only the subdomain of the form(group here).

    Is this not available anynmore?

Can you please provide us more details about the problem.

I checked this URL http://www.jotformeu.com/swetor/group and it seems to be working

If you were trying to create a custom URL name for your jotform, you can use this user guide on how to.

Thank you very much for your interest!

I am saying that I cannot use a custom domain(not a custom URL) as this guide instructs http://www.jotform.com/help/144-How-to-use-Custom-Domains-with-Jotform for my form because the address can't be edited.

Is there any way to do this?

Thank you for providing us with more details.

The user guide -How-to-use-Custom-Domains-with-Jotform was referring to the CPanel option in your website.

    on Step#1

To use your own domains in Jotform, add a DNS record:
Add a CNAME record which points to custom.jotform2.com with your subdomain. Here is what it will look like in the DNS:
    forms.my-company-domain.com CNAME custom.jotform2.com

so, you need to add first a CNAME record which you will use later as the URL

    Example: http://forms.my-company-domain.com/form/1234567890

The URL you are pointing on your screenshot is NOT the custom domain URL.. that is the custom URL Name of the form (if you want to use custom URL Name)

Hope this is clearer. Please dont hesitate to let us know if further assistance is needed.
