Conditional selection for paypal products based on fields on jotform

Asked by TheINSGroup on January 08, 2015 at 05:13 PM

My form is on this website:

    http://utah.retire-ed.com/

It's for a class that people can have the option to sign up fora single or couple. Is there a way to force it to select the two person paypal selection if they enter a name into the "spouse" section? I would be open to putting a new field to select single or couple if that's how it would need to be done.

Basically we had someone pay for the single option but they have two people attending and we need to avoid this.

    Hi,

I presume that you are after something that would help you to hide certain fields and show others based on the selections on your jotform.

What I would suggest is to take a look at this guide:

    Smart Forms Using Conditional Logic

Now, what you can do is have one PayPal option to accept payments for single field, and another for both fields:

How to Create a Basic Multiple Payment form

On the other hand, it would probably be easier for you to collect the value and just pass it to PayPal as it would allow you to change the price on-fly, updating it based on the conditions that you set.

The following guides would be good for that:

    How to Assign Calculation Value

How to pass a calculation to a payment field

Do let us know if you have any questions and we would be happy to help.

    Best Regards,
    Ben

This seems very close to what I want but I'm not sure how to achieve it.. I want it to be conditional in that if someone fills out the spouse name it automatically fills in the field to choose the "per couple" option. Is this possible?
