    Configurable list - data disappears when in Edit Mode

    I am using configurable lists in several of my forms.  In ALL of them, the data disappears about 75% of the time when I go to EDIT the form.  Sometimes it helps to refresh the page and suddenly the data shows back up, but most of the time this doesn't work either.  I have tried using three different browsers (chrome, safari, and firefox).  I have used 2 different mac operating systems on two different computers (mavericks and yosemite).

    Unlike Matrix Dynamique, my data is not actually disappearing as I can see it when I go to submissions.  But when I click on the edit link, the data disappears.  When I click the edit link from my email, the data also disappears.

    Hi,

    I was able to reproduced the issue when I test it on the existing data of your jotform http://www.jotformpro.com/form/50086559851968

    The existing data disappears or get cleared when using the Edit button to go to Edit Mode in the View Submission page.

     

     

    this seems to be a new bug on the widget. 

    I suggest you try using instead the Edit-Link in the Email to be able to have and Edit Mode option to update the submission data.

    Thank you so much for your reply Jonathan.  Regarding the work around, I actually tried using the edit link from my email already as well.  I will clone the form and try to help figure out why it's not working too.

    I have another update...I cloned the first form for which I gave the link in my original post.  I tried removing parts of the form one piece at a time and testing it and nothing would make it so that the data didn't disappear when I went to edit the form.  

    I finally decided to create a new form just using the configurable list widget and the widget itself seems to be what isn't working.  After that, I added the "infinite list" widget and a regular matrix to the form and tested it and the regular matrix always worked and then the configurable list widget worked more often than the infinite list, although still only about 25% of the time.  For this testing I was on the Mac-Yosemite operating system and used chrome as my browser - both were completely updated versions.

    Most of the form widgets are being loaded from a different domain, so they work differently to the standard fields. The bug report ticket was assigned to one of our developers, and we will let you know once we have any updates.

    Hi, yesterday we made an update on the widget regarding this matter. And I would want you to test it out and report back to us if you still experiencing the said problem. On our side, we fixed it by synchronizing the back end data when your form is in edit mode to avoid loss of data.

    Let me know your findings.

    Hi Everyone,

    It seems to be that this problem is still present. I added {edit_link} to the notification, so users can edit the form once is submitted. When users click on the link to edit the form, the infinitelist will show that the data previously entered.

     

    Any advice?

    Both the infinite list and the configurable list show submitted data when editing a submission.
