I am looking to see if when a user submits the form with an uploaded attachment, if the email notification I receive can attach that document as a PDF to the email instead of a link.

    Hi,

Unfortunately, this is not possible. All uploaded files in the form will be uploaded to our servers and in your email notifications they will appear as a download link, not an attachment. It is also not possible that the documents will be converted to a PDF file, like if user uploads a .doc file and it will convert to a PDF file, at least that's how I understand your other concern.

But, if you are looking to make the submissions to be a PDF version and as a downloadable link to the email notifications, you can do that by following the screenshot below.

    1. Navigate to "Emails" and click the notification.

    2. Add the form field tag {pdf-link} anywhere in your email content.

You may also want to check this guide on how to include the headers, text and images in your PDF version of the submission: http://www.jotform.com/help/305-How-to-include-Headers-Texts-and-Images-in-the-PDF-format-of-a-submission

I hope that helps. Let us know if you need more assistance on this.

    Thank you.

Great news! We have just implemented this feature. You can now attach uploaded files in your notification emails. Please give it a try and let us know if you have any feedback:
