Bootstrap Switch Field widget causes the browser to be unresponsive for 10 seconds after clicking submit

    I have found another nasty bug:

     

    1. Show the form (http://form.jotform.ca/form/43351436352248?)

    2. Scroll to bottom and click the Submit button.

     

    --> Error messages for the last two required fields appear, but the browser becomes unresponsive for about 10 seconds (can't scroll up/down or fill in the required fields).

     

    I used a stopwatch to record the amount of time until the browser window/tab is able to be interacted with again.

    I tested with Chrome, IExplorer and Firefox. With Chrome and IExplorer it works fine, but with Firefox I could replicate the same situation. I will run further tests and will get back to you later.

    What's the status of this bug? I really need to get it resolved as the release of my form to the public is currently being held back because of it.

     

    BTW, the same error occurs on every device/browser I've tested with (that means Chrome, Safari, iOS)

    I am able to recreate the issue in FireFox. Now the first thing to note is that you have an issue with your Form Calculation widget. To resolve it just open its wizard through the quick action bar in the top right corner, shown when you click on the widget.

    You should click on the wand like icon

    Once you do click on the Show Advanced Options

    Make sure that all of the widgets have the option for checking for input before calculation checked

    This will remove the first issue that is causing trouble and leave us with the next one - freezing for a bit.

    I have disabled all of the conditions and it was still slowing down (but I did see a slight improvement) suggesting that there is an issue with one of the widgets.

    Do allow us some time to inspect this further and see what could be causing this.

    I just finished with a few more tests and the issue seems to be related to the bootstrap radio options widget.

    If you take a look at my test jotform here: http://form.jotformpro.com/form/50191792776970 you can see that it will have all the same conditions and allow you to click on submit button, which will right away tell you that some fields are not filled out.

    If you want you can clone the jotform to your account to be able to use it by following these steps: How to Clone an Existing Form from a URL

    I will however raise this to our developers for inspection so they will let you know as soon as the issue is found and resolved with the Bootstrap Switch Field widget.

    I am unable to clone that form (see below).

    Please let me know as soon as the bug with the Boostrap switch field is fixed...this control is the main reason I purchased Jotform.

    You can open it on your Form Builder and test the form.

    Just to let you know also, Ben had submitted a bug ticket report already to our higher team support regarding the bootstrap switch issue.

    We will update you here for any status update on the ticket.

    Let us know on the result of your test on the cloned form also.

    Hi, I just want to tell you that we made some significant improvements on our backend for widgets.
    The issue is mostlikely on how we render our widgets to the form.
    Can you please try it again and let us know if you're still experiencing the same problem?
