'm also having that problem and I'm not in New Zealand.  I can change a field and almost a minute later the calculation finally kicks in

    Hi,

Can you please confirm if this is the jotform http://www.jotform.us/form/50147479914159 in question?

I initially test it, and I did noticed the total fee to be taking time to have result.

Actually the total did not completed when I test it.

Please confirm if I am checking the correct form and looking at the exact problem.

We will check further once we have a better understanding of the issue.

    Thanks.

Correct.  That is the form (beta version 2).  I continued to play with it after I posted that statement in the forum.  I went back and looked for circular conditions;  I didn't really see anything obvious.  Then I removed a couple of the conditions thinking that might help.  It was faster for the next two tests.  Then become unresponsive again.   I put the conditions back in.  One of the hidden fields that I'm using for calculations in particular was usually 'stuck' in value (Sat Std Fee) and the condition that set the value of that field and the condition that calculates the Total fee would only begin to work again after I manually cleared that field.  After a few tests however, it would become unresponsive again.

I took that as a clue and began searching the forum for similar problems.  As an experiment, I added the Clear Form option to my Submit button.  That seems to immediately kick things into working again.

    Hi,

I've cloned the form that you have (the one with beta version 2 you mentioned), I'm not sure if you have fixed it already but I'm unable to replicate the problem. I see the total calculates as soon as the necessary conditions where filled, which is when the Dog name is filled. I also removed the clear form option in the submit button and the form still works fine. Here's the cloned form in my end: http://form.jotformpro.com/form/50154144857960?

I'm guessing this is because of some conflicting conditions and removing and adding them back again fixed the problem, not quite sure though. You can also clear your form's cache to see if that helps solve the problem.

Please let us know if you are still having problems.

    Thank you.

Still having the problem this morning.  I have reproduced it on your cloned form using the following steps.  (1) All required fields are completed (the fee calculates correctly) and the PayPal option is selected.  (2) I click on Submit, (3) I log into PayPal, but do not complete the PayPal transaction, (4)  I hit the back button (a couple of times) on my browser to get back to the form, (5) I click on Clear Form.  The fee field now does not calculate correctly.  Neither Clear Form nor clearing the form cache clears up the problem.

    Hi,

Are you hitting the "back" button in your browser? Or a back link provided by Paypal? If you are referring to the back buttons of the browser, you will actually have problems on it, because you are returning to a page that has already completed an action, it's like breaking a session that will cause a cache problem with the browser or the browser will not read the page correctly.

If you hit the back button, you'll need to reload the page so that the form will have a fresh start. The browser will then read your form from the beginning which includes all the condition that you have. While hitting the back button your browser won't read the scripts correctly.

May I know the reason why you are hitting back button? Is it something related to cancelling the submission? Or you would like the user to continue filling the form again even after closing the page or the browser? You can use Auto Fill Feature for that case, http://www.jotform.com/help/227-How-to-Enable-Auto-Fill-Feature. But, they will still need to reload the page.

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks.

I'm only hitting the back button in the browser because I'm testing out the form (never integrated with PayPal or done online forms before) and didn't want me or others who have/are testing the form to get charged by PayPal :)  Before I let the form go live, I will of course test out a transaction using a Sandbox account.

I did try reloading the form (many times) last night and that did not clear up the problem.  (That was before I put the Clear Form on though).  Of course it is working now on your clone copy when I do the refresh...

Perhaps I'll add some warnings on the form about backing out without refreshing the page.

    Thanks for your help.

Rats.  I see the pricing just jumped up from what it was yesterday :(

I only had 2 days to look at it and I was having so much trouble with it last night, I didn't want to commit to buying it.

    Hi,

You're welcome. Just let us know if you had problem related to the calculation again.

I see you mentioned pricing? Is it related to the total amount in your calculation? Or is it in our pricing page? If it's related to our subscription plans, I believe the last day for that sale was yesterday, January 15, I'm not sure if we have another extension though.

If you have other questions, please do let us know by opening another thread here in the forum.

    Thank you.

Yeah - I didn't know about the sale.  I didn't even find out about your product until 2 days ago.  Is there a sales manager I can contact to see if I can still get the sale price?

    Thx.
