Hide empty fields on modified (dirty) email templates, just as on clean ones

Hi Guys,

I just noticed that when locking the table in email notification in order to enable auto-hiding of empty fields, we can't even reformat the date fields as well, e.g. {VarName:D d M Y}. I feel that this is too much of a sacrifice just for the auto-hide empty field function to work in email notification/autoreponder.

I wonder if it is possible for your team to make the formatting of the field data work even for the locked table?

You can open the email and set the Lock to unlock.

Following this you can make your changes and set it back to locked.

It is always best to leave it locked, but this should set it to try and detect if the field is empty or not.

Of course, only the original notifier can be certain to work properly.

When you lock it again, your formatting will be automatically removed by the system again. Come on... you should know this....

Unfortunately, the "Hide empty fields on emails" feature only works using the default notifier or default content. So you cannot customize the table if you enable that feature.

If you lock the table it will revert to its default content, you will lose the changes you made. If you unlock it, you can customize the table, but loses the ability to hide the empty fields.

What you told me I already know Jan.... please read my previous posts carefully... That's why I put my title as "Feature Request: ...." but someone changed it to the current one.... I was requesting for the formatting, e.g. {VarName: D d M Y} to work on locked table.

You are correct, this was a slight oversight on my part with the locking back again part, for which I apologize.

I will raise this to our developers to see if this is possible to implement.

In fact, this post was intended for "Feature Request" -- I'm your old user, I know very well about your system. You just need to let me know whether your team will or will not consider the request, that's all. You do not have to tell me how should I hide empty fields or what happen if I lock the table blah blah blah..... What I want is: When the table is locked, can we at least have the date field formatted to a desired format, e.g. {DateSomething:D d M Y}?

Such a simple request you guys also want to make it so complicated + keep changing the title for so many times..... It's OK folks, just forget about it.

Our colleague Ben had already submitted a feature request ticket about this thread to our higher team support.

Please understand that our higher team support were the one to evaluate and put consideration on feature request tickets. Usually, feature request are approved if it has enough merit, and really is a feature worth adding on the form.

We will let you know once we have update on the status of this ticket.

Yes, this is the answer that I want to hear -- thank you, and I can fully understand your team have their own priority and resource limitation (all companies have such limitation). If it is simple and safe to be implemented yet can make customers happy, I suggest that your higher team support should go ahead; if it is hard or risky to be implemented, even the feature can make me happy but later not happy due to buggy, just forget about it.
