Conditional Formatting in Email Notifications

Is it possible to create conditional formatting in email notifications?

For EG, make a field result display in RED if below a certain threshold..

The only way I can find is to make separate emails for each condition.  When you have a lot, this becomes unwieldly because if you make one change to the general text of the email you have to change the email for every condition.
