Multiple Identical Notifications being sent for each SubmissionAsked by David on January 22, 2015 at 10:14 AM
Over the last 3 days we have sporadically received multiple identical email notifications for a single submission. At times a single submission is generating up to 20 identical email notifications that are received within 1 to 2 minutes of the form being completed.
Please advise as to how to resolve the issue.
I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue David, but looking at the email logs and our bounce list I was not able to see any submission being sent more than once.
While looking into this I did notice some issues that might be connected.
First, your email: email@example.com does not seem to be correct.
I found it in the bounce list with this as a reason (which we got from your server):
Reason(s) : smtp;511 sorry, no mailbox here by that name (#5.1.1 - chkuser)
Please make sure that you check it and type in the correct username. I have removed it from bounce in case this was issue before - that is now resolved, but if not the emails will not be sent to it.
I was also able to see that there are many emails that should have been sent to it, which you will be able to view as well, in our email log.
Another issue which might be slowing down your form or causing other issues with it is that you have a lot of conditions (365) where many of them have entries of deleted fields or are based on them.
I would suggest removing such conditions.
