Form Designer: Unable To Save Theme on a Specific Form
-
starlightincorpAsked on January 22, 2015 at 04:21 PM
I saved a new theme, but when I go to My Themes, it says I haven't created any yet. Will I have to create it again from scratch?
The theme has already been applied to one of my forms, but it does not appear under my themes as I want to apply it to more of my forms.

Thank you for contacting us.
There is a chance that you saved the form design, but the theme was not created through the Themes section.
You can try to follow the next steps to save your current form design as a theme.
- Go to the Theme Store.
- Use a New Theme button under My Themes.
- Select your designed form.
- Save it as a Theme.
Then, you should be able to apply the theme you just created to other forms via the form builder.
Please give it a try and let us know if you need any further assistance.

Hi
Thank you for your assistance. I have gone to New Theme, selected the form, and pressed the Save Theme button but nothing happens.
The theme does not save. I tried on Internet Explorer instead of Chrome thinking it might be a browser issue, but still does not save.

We do recommend Chrome or Firefox to create/edit forms or themes. Also, make sure you have made a fresh login on your account.
Do get back to us should the issue persist.

So, I have tried this using Chrome and Firefox and still have the same issue outlined above. Once I hit 'save theme' nothing happens. Can someone please advice asap? Have tight turnaround on a job... (Could this be because I'm using a free account?)

No, that shouldn't be an issue, free and paid users can submit their theme to the Theme Stores either public or private.
I inspected your account > Themes section, and I can see this theme there.
So, basically, there is a problem with the browsers. Maybe making a complete reset of either Firefox or Chrome should help, this would clear cache and cookies.
If the problem continues, let us know what is the version of your browsers and we will try to find the problem and advise.

When I go to "My Themes" nothing shows up (see screenshot). Also, I don't recall ever having used the London theme, much less having tried to create my own theme based on it... Any other ideas? Your help is much appreciated. :)

Also, I installed the latest version of firefox on my PC yesterday (just to see if this would help). No joy. Also, no cookies/cache were present at the time of testing, because I only opened the newly installed firefox to test JotForm.

Hi,
For testing purposes, I've cloned your form and tried it on my end, don't worry I'm setting it as "Private" and not publishing it publicly.
I was able to recreate your problem, I'm unable to save the form design as a theme and it seems to be specific to your form even on cloned form.
At first I see that your background image is on https:// link, which might be one problem why it is not saving properly, I've removed the protocol and changed it to http:// instead but problem still persists. I've also removed different fields like the payment method and the other image field that you used as headers but still won't save.
In my console in the screenshot above, it shows an Errorception trial expired message. Not sure what this but may I know if the them or design you used in your form is a purchased or edited one found in the theme store?
For the meantime, I'll escalate this to our developers so that they can take a closer look. We'll update you when we hear any news.
Thank you.

Yes, I'm trying to save a variation of a free theme I found in the store. Could that be the issue? Name of the theme was Autumn Rainforest: http://www.jotform.com/theme-store/theme/autumn-forest
Thanks very much for your help!
