Can the QR Code Reader widget take manual input if the QR code is defective?

I have a test from in which I have embedded to QR Code Reader widgets for input. If the QR code the user is scanning has been destroyed or damaged, then the QR code input will not work. Is there 1) a way to allow manual entry in those fields in case the QR code will not scan or 2) have the form use some logic to reveal an alternative text field input in case the QR code reader doesn't work?

    Hi CSS_Composites,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, widgets like QR Code Reader will not work with conditions because they are loaded from external resources. It's also not possible to manually enter the Bardcode in the textbox of the QR code reader. While the feature you’re looking for isn’t currently available, rest assured we’re always working to add new services and features to Jotform.

I've gone ahead and escalated your request to our Developer Team. When or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

As a workaround, you can add a Short Text box below the scanners and create a field question like the one below:

Then, create a condition that if the answer to the question is No, Show the text boxes:

    Here's the result:

That's a great workaround for now! I've implemented it. Thanks for the coaching and the technical detail answers!
