How to create an order summary

I have made an order form, and instead of using the product tools, I've used checkboxes and set up the products and assigned values to the checkboxes. I then sent the total to the payment section for payment.

Now, I'm trying to create a summary of their order for them to check before making the payment. I'd also like to email this summary to them. I'm having a hard time imagining how to do this. Ideally, there'd be a condition where I could say that if this item is filled, then add it to the running list, but if it's empty, keep it off the list. Right now, I'm saying if it's empty (product not selected), hide it (doesn't appear in the order summary), but the spacing is awkward with having each product as a separate item. And it's crazy trying to add all those separate items to the email.

Hopefully this makes enough sense. I'd appreciate some advice.

    Thanks.

May I inquire why you cannot use the Purchase Order tool instead.

You can create a preview summary when using the Purchase Order tool using the Preview Before Submit Widget

You can set the actual payment into a 2nd form... so basically the steps involve are

    #1 Fill in Order

    #2 Preview/Review order sumarry

#3 Submit the form to process payment on 2nd form.

#4 Finalize payment on 2nd form submission.

Please let us know if this solution will not work and if you need further assistance.

    Thanks.

    @santacruzprophotos

Just to add to my colleague's suggestion (which I agree with) in case you were concerned about the images being too small, we also have a widget named Product Lightbox to take care of that, as can be seen in its demo jotform.

    Thanks

    Jonathan and Abajan,

Thanks for your reply. When designing the order form, I ran into some limitations with the Purchase Order Tool. I wanted to hide some products, for example, and make them available only when others were purchased. I also was limited on the options that I could provide for products. I did an inquiry on this forum about it, and came to the conclusion that the widget wouldn't do what I needed.

So... perhaps there is a better way to go about this. I'm open to suggestions.

But, is there a way that I can in conditions where I can say if checkbox A is filled, add this text to a running list? Perhaps you can look at my Product Order Form and give me some ideas.

As always, I really appreciate your help.

    Geoff

    Hi again Geoff,

Insofar as the list summarizing the order is concerned, I believe our Preview Before Submit widget would be suitable for your requirements. However, the summary generated would not appear in any email notifications. That's not a problem because as you've already discovered, field tags can be manually inserted to customize messages. So, the summary list can be created in the relevant notification and/or autoresponder and the Form Fields menu used to insert the tags.

Hopefully this has helped somewhat. However, if you need further help please let us know.

    Thanks

Can you add field tags into a text box on the form?
