Using Authorize.Net, we'd like to set up various recurring payment plans (through subscription). How do we do this?

    Questions we have include:

How do we specify what day the recurring payment takes place on?

Is the credit card data given to us or like one-time payments, it just goes directly to authorize.net?

Can we get more detailed instructions on how to set up recurring payments, including first-time payment details?

    Thank you!

It is possible to setup subscription plans using Authroize.net from the Payment setup wizard.

How do we specify what day the recurring payment takes place on?

You can specify the frequency of recurring payment i.e., daily, weekly, monthly, etc including custom number of days like every 10 days. This is dependent on the first date of charge and if trail period enabled.

Is the credit card data given to us or like one-time payments, it just goes directly to authorize.net?

I think that the credit card data is not provided through any of the payment processor due to security reasons. This is applicable for one-time payments or subscriptions. The data received from the user will be encrypted at the payment gateway and cannot be retrieved in text to comply with PCI security standards.

Can we get more detailed instructions on how to set up recurring payments, including first-time payment details?
