Changing the color of the bar across the top of the email body

Hi all,

I like the layout of your email but when I modify the colour of the orange bar via the email code editor, it loses it’s ‘responsiveness’ (forgive the lack of technical terminology) Is there a way of changing the oringal colour while keeping the original structure of the email please?

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Could you please share the URL of the form you're trying to edit the emails of? In the meantime, I cleared your form caches as it comes in handy if the issue is caused by a small glitch. As for changing the color of the bar across the top of the email body, let me walk you through how to do that:

1. Go back Notification/Autoresponder email settings.
2. Click on the Source Code icon(>_).
3. Search for #FF6100 and replace it with your preferred color or hex color code.
4. Click on the Save button.

I've attached a screen shot of what happens to the formating when the colour is changed. Not sure if there's anything I can do to stop this happening as I'm only changing the colour? thanks, Lou

Can you try it again and see how it goes? If you run into the same problem again, let us know, and we'll do more testing to see what's happening.

That's strange - i've tried it again and it's still changing the layout. For ref, i've tried in apple mail, gmail and outlook.

Thanks for getting back to us. Tested my demo form in the email apps you mentioned and the bar across the top of the email body is the same in all apps as it is in the Form Builder as seen below:

• Form Builder.
• Gmail, Apple Mail, and Outlook.

Could you please share the URL of the form you're working on? This guide will help you locate the form's URL.

Thanks for getting back to us. I've tried changing the background color of the Autoresponder Email template, and got the same result where the modified one doesn't cover the screen horizontally. So I created a ticket and escalated this to our Developer team.

Although we don't know exactly when the issue will be fixed, we’ll circle back to this thread when we have an update.
