How to dynamically display an image on the Thank You page

Asked by LeoC2 on January 27, 2015 at 02:48 PM

I've checked some conversations on the forum regarding this but I'm confused. So here is what I want to do:

I have two fields in a form that the users fills in
When they click SUBMIT I want the TANK YOU form to show an image from Dropbox assembled from the info in the two fields, such as:

    "https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/" + Field1+Field2+ ".pdf"

Possible? And if not... why not? ;)

I figured it out, for those interested all you need to do is add an img src to the thank you page like this:

     img src=https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/18728859/ScoreSheets/{FIELD1}.pdf

However the one problem I see is that if you go back to edit the thank you page the text is replaced by a blank image. how can I get the tecty to remain for future editing?

HERE IS a sample of the form I'm testing: Choose Spring from the dropdown and ener the number 100 in the number field

We really appreciate you shared the workaround for our users.

The problem is that img src is an HTML tag and as such, it's "interpreted" by the browse, that is why it becomes a blank icon.

My recommendation would be to keep a backup of your workaround.

I do see however that if you click on the HTM button you can see the entire text.

Yes, that is correct, but since the path to the file will depend on a variable, the browser will just show a place holder, when you edit the page.
