Resurrecting this topic as it might help others. A date and time embedded into the actual form is needed. When one wants to import the submission into some other software, the date/time stamp must be part of the form. The method described above is sufficient if the infos could be locked so users cannot edit them. Is this possible? Yes. There is option in the Show Properties to make the fields hidden and will never be seen on the form itself.

To answer your question in short "Yes" your submissions from your jotforms are already dated and timestamped automatically by our server.

You can see and view this from within your jotform account when you are viewing your submissions. It can also be disabled since by default it is automatically enabled. You can additionally also see this Submission Date when you download your jotforms or view them in your email notifications unless you've disabled or removed it.

If you'd rather not rely on the server date then you can alternatively use our DateTime Field and then just change its options to set it to "read-only" so that users wouldn't be able to modify it.
