Getting a 404 Not Found in Smooth Signature Widget?

I am getting a 404 not found error on the e-signature widget (I think it is the 'smooth signature' widget).

The error shows up for end users.

It also shows when I go in to 'edit form.'

I looked at the submission history.

Looks like the last successful submission was 7/18/14.

I have had two more submissions since then, but the signature does not appear to have been capture.

    Thanks for your help,

    Sahil

    Hi,

Apologies for the inconvenience, our widgets were updated regularly, and in this case it seems that yours made not have received the updates directly, to fix this you just need to remove the widget and add it again.

If you have clients that missed a signature, you can send them directly a link to edit their submissions. Here's an example.

    1. First, we will use the notification to find out the format of your submission edit link.

    2. Inside the compose email content, just add the {edit_link} tag.

    3. I then fill out my form.

    4. I received an email notification included the edit link submission. I then copied it.

    5. To get a specific submission to be edited, let's say your two submissions did not have signature on it, we'll then get their submission IDs.

    6. Inside the submissions page, get the submission ID.

    7. We will then format our copied edit submission link here:

    http://submit.jotformpro.com/form.php?formID=50285170128955&sid=298359920194871844&mode=edit

Blue highlight: This is the format of the edit submission link, it varies per form or user.

Green highlight: This is the Form ID which you can also see in the Form's URL when in preview.

Pink highlight: This is the submission ID of the submission that we have missing values, this is the one we fetched in our submissions page.

You can then send that custom edit link submission to the client that you have a missing signature.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you.

    Charlie,

The problem is that when I try to remove the widget (in order to re-add it), jot-form tells me that I am going to lose all of the data associated with it!Getting a 404 Not Found in Smooth Signature Widget? Image 1 Screenshot 20

Hi @spatel, sorry for the inconvenience that this may have caused you. The said widget was updated a few months ago. This is to ensure that you are getting and setting a reliable signature from your clients.

We fixed bugs that was introduced on the first version and it seems that your form still holds the old version of the widget.

So I would recommend to re-integrate it by removing it from your form and add it again, just like my colleague suggested. But you don't have to worry about it, we already took care of it to avoid loss of data. Please check your form now and let us know if you still experiencing the same problem

    Regards,
    Widget Team

It works!  Thank you so much for resolving it in a way that ensured that I would not lose any data.  This form is particularly sensitive for me -- it captures sign-off from my clients that we are complying with our obligations under federal statute (HIPAA and HITECH) to protect their data.

    Greatly appreciative,

    Sahil
